Two held for murder of Krishna Nagar jeweller

Gambhir’s murder had evoked strong reactions in the area,with local residents staging protests and blocking roads. “An initial investigation suggested that such a crime could have been carried out by persons familiar with the location,considering that the shop is situated in a very densely populated market with multiple entry and exit points,” said O P Mishra,DCP (East).

During an investigation,police received a tip-off on two members,who were residing in Lucknow and Moradabad. They also discovered that the duo were in possession of a car with UP registration. Investigators tracked down the owner of the car,who said he had sold the vehicle to Sabir. Following this,both the accused were arrested.
