The national topper (woman) in the IIT-JEE 2011 has sparked a war of sorts among two leading coaching institutes.
Sumegha Garg,all-India rank 12,is being presented as a success story by both Narayana and FIIT-JEE academies.
The student from Bhatinda attended the weekend coaching at Narayana and also took a correspondence course and an intensive contact programme a two-month session from FIIT-JEE.
Sumegha was flown into Delhi for a media briefing by Narayana.
On the other hand,FIIT JEE director (Corporate Communication) C V Kalyan Kumar said: Sumegha was one of our best students and she was coached extensively by the institute.
While FIIT-JEE PR staff claimed Sumegha was speaking for the institute at the toppers parade in Chandigarh,Narayanas vice-chairperson Dr K Gopal asked her to talk about the Narayana edge for JEE preparations during the meeting with the media.
Sumegha, however, praised both the coaching centres. The Narayana teachers cleared all my doubts. At FIIT-JEE I did a revision course,so it helped pack everything, she said when asked about the clash between the two institutes.
