We may live in a city with snazzy nightclubs and bars,yet,many a party plan has unraveled thanks to the woefully inadequate transport system and dodgy cab services. Basically,if you dont have your set of wheels,partying can be a pain. But worry not,some of Delhis premier party spots are doing what it takes to help you through the night,from the time you step out to party,till the morning after.

While you might want to rent a cab from your local taxi stand,the chances of availing their services on Christmas eve and New Years eve will be low. This is a major issue if you dont have your own vehicle. One of the ways I deal with a no-cab situation is to check with the restaurant or club and see if theyre providing transport. If yes,I let the manager know that I shall need a drop after, says Jonathan Daniel,an ardent party hopper. As for the restaurant,it is truly not a bother. We have several guests who spend hours here,eating and drinking,and on special days such as Christmas and New Year,we help with transport, says Mohit Patney,marketing manager,TGIF. Last year,the popular American chain tied up with Meru Cabs but this year theyre keeping it simple. Tying up with a branded cab service proved to be expensive for the client. To ensure that nobody thinks twice about having a great time at TGIF,we have tied up with the local taxi stands in the areas where we have our restaurant. Its cheaper for the patron and the local cabbies benefit as well, says Patney.

Having your own car might make the task of reaching a party easier yet the rest of the night can be a chore. There have been so many times when Ive just drunk fruit juice the whole night and danced at a party because I was driving back home, says Daniel ruefully. That is no fun and a sure-fire way of killing the party spirit. This is where Home Safe steps in. This is an alternative to drinking and driving,and going home in the safety of your own car, says Shiven Madan,who along with his friend Nikhil Saigal,began Home Safe this September. Its simple: after a night of drinking and revelry,a phone call to Home Safe will ensure that the nearest chauffeur reaches the required destination,and drives the client to his/her house and drops them there. We run background checks on all the chauffeurs,police verifications are done and driving licenses are in place. Our drivers can handle automatic cars and manual vehicles,even ones with a left hand drive, says Madan who has a team of 40 chauffeurs working at Home Safe. Their services have been sought by a number of the capitals popular hang-outs such as Cafe Morrison,Hookah,Shalom,Pebble Street. New hot-spot LAP intends to tie up with them. Booking their services in advance is a good idea,their chauffeurs are primarily available in South Delhi and Gurgaon but can reach other areas in Delhi,if given enough notice.

But if youve been saving up your pennies all year to party real hard and in real style,the Park hotel in Delhi might have something special on offer. A brand new package,titled the Platinum package is up for grabs. It includes a limousine pick up,a spa treatment before you hit the dance floor at Agni,Mist,Aqua. Dinner and alcohol are included along with the nights stay and morning brunch. A limousine drops you back home, says Anushree Banerjee,Assistant Manager,Public Relations,The Park. All that pampering does come at a price,the package costs Rs 25,000 per couple. Take your pick,and drop.
