Three men riding a scooter died after the two-wheeler collided with a car in the early hours of Sunday, said police. According to the police, the accident took place at 3.20 am on Sunday at the Dwarka Urban Expressway between Najafgarh and Dwarka.
“The three boys were riding on one scooter and were driving it on the wrong side of the road when the car hit them. They were also not wearing helmets. All three succumbed to injuries.
An FSL team was called and a case under appropriate sections was registered. An investigation is underway. Both vehicles were seized,” said DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh.
The three men were later identified by police as Basant (23), Pawan (22), and Sunny (22), who worked in different grocery and provision shops in Najafgarh market in West Delhi.
The car’s driver and owner is yet to be arrested, officers said.
