Three children drown in pond

The police on Thursday fished out the bodies of three children,belonging to the same family,from a pond in Suratnagar,Rajendra Park.

According to police,they have been identified as Lakhi (12),her brother Pintu (7) and Sanjeet (7).

While Lakhi and Pintu have been identified as the children of Chaukhilal,a labourer,Sanjeet was the son of his brother,Subodh Mandal.

The bodies were found floating in the pond at 7.25 am on Thursday. The three children had reportedly gone out to play after Chaukhilal and Sanjeet left for work on Wednesday evening. An autopsy revealed no external injuries.
