Three persons were arrested on Tuesday for the kidnap and murder of a man,whose body was found at Noidas Sector-65 last month.
Lokesh (27),Sandeep (20) and Dhiraj (22) had killed Bitto as he objected to main accused Lokeshs relationship with his sister,police said.
Police said Lokesh had killed another person two years ago on suspicion that he was in a relationship with his girlfriend. He had been released on bail eight months ago.
According to police,on April 4 Lokesh and Sandeep called Bitto and asked him to accompany them to Noida. Dheeraj joined them on the way. At a secluded spot in Sector-65,they strangled Bittoo inside a Maruti van and dumped his body near Garhi Chowkhidi village.
Lokesh drives a rented taxi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjay Kumar Jain said,The Crime Branch received information that the three had kidnapped and murdered a youth from Shahdara and would be coming to Cross River Mall area in Surajmal Vihar in Delhi. On Tuesday morning,a trap was laid and the three were apprehended. At the time they were travelling in a Maruti Van.
Police said the trio has confessed that they kidnapped Bittoo and then killed him. The body was discovered on April 6 by the UP Police.
