The Talwars on Tuesday submitted a petition signed by almost 10,000 people, seeking justice in Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case,to the President,Prime Minister Office,CBI,and National Human Rights Commission.

The Talwars submitted the petition on Tuesday requesting the government to give out orders to the CBI (prosecution) to submit the reports of scientific tests on record before the court. The Talwars had earlier filed an application before the court in the matter which was rejected.

“The CBI is not submitting the reports on record because those reports will prove that the parents are innocent. It is essential to bring on record the reports of the scientific tests along with other evidence, including the narco analysis report and sound simulation report before the court,to carry out a fair trial. The CBI is nailing the parents due to lack of evidence. We hope that the government would take some action to ensure that a fair trial is conducted,” Vandana Talwar,Aarushi’s aunt, said.

The petition, which alleges mishandling of the case by the UP Police and highlights, what it calls, the malafide intentions of the CBI,has been signed by 6,000 people online and 4,000 people offline, she said.

The petition, which is addressed to Minister of State V Narayanasamy as well as the President,Prime Minister,CBI Director and other officials concerned,is titled “Justice for Aarushi and Hemraj”.
