Bal Bharati Public School,Pitampura organised,for the very first time in the Primary Department,an Exchange Programme under ISSE with Jing Hang Primary School,Liuzhou,China.

International exchange at Bal Bharati

Bal Bharati Public School,Pitampura organised,for the very first time in the Primary Department,an Exchange Programme under ISSE (International School to School Experience) with Jing Hang Primary School,Liuzhou,China. A group consising of 11 students and 2 teachers visited Jing Hang Primary School,China in the last week of March,2011 and experienced the lifestyle of the people over there. The group was welcomed,at the airport,by the parents,students and staff of the school. A special cultural programme,for the Indian group,was organised by the staff at Jing Hang Primary School. A performance by the Indian students was highly appreciated by the Principal,staff and the students alike. Later, a Friendship Tree,named after Bal Bharati Public School,was planted in the school grounds. The students had an enriching and awe-inspiring experience while being part of the activities in the school and at the homes of various families. The group also had a unique experience of trying the traditional Chinese food. The group was also taken tourists places like The Science Centre,Reed Flute Cave etc. The trip lasted for 9 days,from 25th March,2011 to 2nd April,2011. The group came back with beautiful memories of the love and care shown by the Chinese students,teachers and parents alike and ready to welcome the Chinese contingent in the last week of April. The Exchange Programme didn’t end with the Indian group’s trip but continued in the last week of April when 18 students and 5 teachers from Jing Hang Primary School visited Bal Bharati Public School to experience culture and lifestyle. Seventeen families joined hands in making this a successful and memorable venture. The Chinese students were given a grand welcome at the airport,by the students,parents and teachers. A special Cultural Programme was organised in the school auditorium to welcome them,where the Chinese students also gave an amazing performance. The students from China had a great time in experiencing the diversity in the culture of both the countries. Staying in Indian homes,eating Indian food and even wearing Indian clothes were enjoyed by the Chinese students. To strengthen the bond between the group,programmes were organised at the school for students and teachers from both the countries. These included art,dance and yoga classes. Besides school activities,students and teachers were taken to various tourist places in and around Delhi and Taj Mahal,which left the Chinese teachers overwhelmed.

St Mark’s celebrates World Environment Day

n June 2011 saw students of St.Mark’s Sr.Sec.Public School,Meera Bagh take their zeal and vigour beyond the school premises.They participated in a five day event-GREEN HAAT-Knowledge Park at Dilli Haat from June 1 to June 5,2011.This event was organized by The Ministry of Environment and Forests along with United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) alongwith Centre of Environment Education(CEE).

The students not only participated in various activities such as Poster Making,Collage Making,Slogan Writing,Design a Stamp etc…but won many prizes too.

Students were felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister Shri Jairam Ramesh,Mr.Achim Steiner,Executive Director,(UNEP),Mr.C.M.Bhatt and Mrs.Radha Ben Bhatt,noted Environmentalists at Hotel Ashok on 5 June 2011 on the occasion of World Environment Day.
