Ghaziabad LLB student arrested for issuing death threat to Delhi CM
Shlok Tiwari has made over 40 anonymous calls to the Ghaziabad police control room in the past year, a police officer said, citing his call data records

A 30-year-old LLB student was arrested on Saturday for allegedly issuing a death threat to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta via the Ghaziabad police control room (PCR).
The police identified the accused as Shlok Tiwari and said he was arrested from Daulatpur Colony in Ghaziabad on Saturday morning. Tiwari is pursuing an LLB degree and works as a deed writer at a Ghaziabad court, police said.
Bhisham Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), Delhi Police, confirmed the development and said that the accused is undergoing further questioning.
Tiwari is allegedly known to make anonymous calls to the PCR, a senior police officer said. “According to his call data records, he has made over 40 anonymous calls in the past year,” the officer added.
During his questioning, the accused said that he wanted to talk with his wife. “Before the threat call against the Delhi CM, he repeatedly called the control room, saying that he wanted to talk to his wife. When the officers ignored him, he made the threatening call,” an officer said.
According to the Ghaziabad Police, the threat against the Delhi CM was received around midnight, on the intervening night between Thursday and Friday.
The SIM card, used for making the call, was registered in his brother-in-law’s name, officers said.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at the Shalimar Bagh Police Station, and further investigations are underway, an officer said.
