A car hit a man and rammed into several parked vehicles before making his escape in Gurgaon on Tuesday. The condition of the victim Parivesh Jain,an engineer employed with Metso Minerals India Private Limited,is said to have stabilised.
The incident occurred while Jain was walking towards his paying guest accommodation in Sector 14 around 10.30 pm.
Identifying the car as a Honda City,he said,It seemed like the people inside the car were drunk, and they lost control. After hitting me,they rammed into five parked vehicles before speeding off. The occupants of another car, which was coming from behind, took me to Kalyani Hospital.
Jain was treated for injuries in the head and knee.
According to police, the persons who took Jain to the hospital had managed to note down the registration number of the Honda City. I did not lodge an FIR,but now that the police have the registration number of the car, they should book those involved, said Jains father Pawan, who came down from Jaipur.
Police said they are investigating the case, and will bring the offenders to justice as soon as possible.
