Over 700 personnel, 35 special pickets: Northeast Delhi gears up for Ram Navami celebrations
According to the Delhi Police, they have strengthened security arrangements in sensitive areas of the Northeast district on Ram Navami.

The Delhi Police have made elaborate security arrangements in sensitive pockets of Northeast Delhi on Wednesday on the occasion of Ram Navami. According to officers, as many as 35 special pickets, 147 motorcycles, and 14 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) have been deployed and flag marches are being held in these areas.
Joy Tirkey, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast), said more than 700 personnel, including three DCPs, have also been deployed to strengthen security arrangements in the sensitive areas near and around Northeast Delhi.
He said, “We have 327 temples in Northeast Delhi and 15 temples are the major ones and the top three ones will see a gather of over 1000 persons, which include the Sanatan Dharam Mandir in Seelampur, Moni Baba Mandir in New Usmanpur, and Sri Ram Mandir in Welcome”.
While one procession was held at 9 am, another will take place at noon in the district where a gathering of around 200 people is expected, on the occasion of Ram Navami, which is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ram.
The Delhi Police said Aman Committee meetings have been held at all police stations of the district and enough force has been deployed along with emergency response vehicles to ensure no law and order situation arises.
