Congress leader and former Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi Friday visited Delhi University’s Post Graduate Men’s Hostel on North Campus and interacted with students.
Gandhi, who studied at DU’s St Stephen’s College for a year before leaving for the United States, met students and shared a meal with them. He reached the campus a little after 2 pm and spent an hour there.
“Rahul Gandhi visited our hostel and had lunch with us. We discussed issues pertaining to employment and joblessness as well as issues that we are facing within the university hostel,” said Devesh Kumar, a first-year PhD student from the Faculty of Arts, who was among the few students who met Gandhi.
Earlier last month, Gandhi had interacted with students preparing for Union Public Service Commission and Staff Selection Commission examinations in Mukherjee Nagar, close to Delhi University North Campus.
During Ramzan, he had made a trip to Bengali Market followed by Jama Masjid.
