Principal found dead in East Delhi school

“Tushar and his father also run the JSM Public School in Noida. Today,Tushar came to check on his father when he did not pick up his phone since morning. After looking for his father for some time,he finally discovered the body in a room in the school building in which Chauhan stayed alone,” a police officer said.

He added Chauhan had been hit with a blunt object and his throat slit.

Investigating officers said Hira,a 23-year-old who works as a help at the school,is emerging as the main suspect.

Eyewitnesses said they saw Hira going out with three bags at about 11.30 pm on Monday night. There was no one else in the school,which is closed for summer vacations.

“Chauhan’s jewellery and some ornaments in his almirah are also also missing. We suspect that Hira stole them,” the investigating officer said. A manhunt has been launched for the suspect.
