Neelam Azad (centre)The Delhi Police conducted a raid at the house of Neelam Azad, one of the accused arrested in connection with the Parliament security breach case, at her village in Haryana’s Jind late on Sunday.
Azad, a resident of the Gasho Khurd village in Jind, was among the four people who sprayed colour smoke and shouted slogans outside Lok Sabha. She was arrested for breaching security and protesting.
The police had arrested Azad along with her associate Amol Shinde outside Parliament and caught Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D from inside the House as they had jumped into the hall from the visitor’s gallery and opened smoke canisters in front of parliamentarians.
They had also arrested two other men, Lalit Jha and Mahesh Kumawat, for helping and shielding the accused.
According to her family, the team of Delhi Police searched their house and took her diary, which she had used during her college days, along with her books.
Sources said the Delhi Police have also approached companies such as Google Pay and Paytm to ascertain the online transactions between the six accused in the case.
As per police, the accused met on a Facebook group ‘Justice for Azad Bhagat Singh’. They later started talking on Instagram and WhatsApp where they allegedly planned the incident.
The police have already written to Meta to get details of all the chats between the accused and details of the Bhagat Singh fan page.
Earlier, the police had said they recovered burnt phones from Kuchaman City in Rajasthan where the accused allegedly burnt their phones after the incident. The call records and other details couldn’t be accessed, they had said.
