Parents protest fee hike,block road

Parents of students at the Ramjas Nursery Primary School blocked the Outer Ring Road near the Pitampura Power House on Monday in protest against a hike in fees.

It was alleged that the school had hiked its fee and was demanding arrears from parents without first convening a meeting with them.

The protest was organised under the aegis of the Delhi Abhibhavak Manch and manch president and Lok Sabha hopeful Vijender Gupta also participated in the protest. The primary school falls under the purview of the MCD,which has issued a show cause notice to the school for violating government regulations,directing it to withdraw any increase in fee and other charges.

The school has been told in case it has increased fee or other charges,the same should be refunded to the parents and a compliance report be submitted to the Director (Primary Education) within two days, MCD information officer Deep Mathur said.
