For a while now Delhi-based electronica act,B.L.O.T,has been working on how to elevate their gigs to the next level. Known for offbeat and avant-garde visual presentations during their performances, the two-member outfit is now going 3D. B.L.O.T,comprising Avinash Kumar and Gaurav Malakar, will debut with this peculiar act at the upcoming Indo-German music festival called India Goes 3D. We came across this 120-year-old technology called Anaglyph image technology. Everyone will be wearing 3D glasses with lenses in red and cyan, says Malakar. Their first 3D gig will take place in Mumbai on April 20 and in Delhi on April 27.
Promising sporadic 3D gigs,B.L.O.T has collaborated with Goethe Institut for the festival that will first take place in Mumbai and Bengaluru, and travel to Delhi on April 27 and 28. The three-city tour will feature baile funk artiste Daniel Haaksman from Berlin, techno act Coma from Cologne and DJ Ada from Hamburg. Along with them,Indian artistes Nucleya,DJ Uri,Arjun Vagale,Jitter,Vachan Chhinnappa and B.L.O.T will also be performing, adds Malakar. A fairly new and exciting concept, the silent disco evening,in which the audience will sport wireless headsets to create a silent disco space, will take place at Blue Frog in Mumbai during the festival. In Delhi, the festival will take place at Blue Frog and Out of the Box and in Bengaluru the India Goes 3D stage will be set up at the Submerge Supernova Festival.
