Minor molested by school van drivers

An eight-year-old boy on Monday alleged he had been molested by the drivers of his school van for the past three days.

The incident came to light when the Class III student of Silverline Public school,located in the Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad,refused to go to school.

According to an FIR filed by his father,the boy initially refused to divulge any information but later told his father about the school van drivers.

His father,a resident of Shastri Nagar,was furious and lodged an FIR, Gajendra Singh,Kavi Nagar SHO,said. We have lodged a complaint against two school drivers,Shashikant Kamath and Rajkumar. Shashikant has been arrested but Rajkumar is still absconding, the SHO said.

The school authorities could not be contacted despite repeated attempts. The police claimed the school drivers were not appointed by the school.

The transporter who has been given the contract for plying school children,appoints the drivers, the SHO said.
