Ministers and MPs massacred thousands, reasserts Singh

“I am ready to come to India and testify against Jagdish Tytler if the court calls me,” said Jasbir Singh, who claims to have seen Tytler lead rioters after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984.

“I am ready to come to India and testify against Jagdish Tytler if the court calls me,” said Jasbir Singh, who claims to have seen Tytler lead rioters after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984.

“When the CBI first gave a clean chit to Tytler in 2007,I had said the agency was hand-in-glove with him,” Singh told Newsline from California .“The probe agency has been misleading the court. They never wanted to record my testimony and hence said I was untraceable. When I approached the High Court, they were left with no option but to talk to me,” said Singh. “I am still ready to testify before the court but look at what they did to Surinder Singh. He came to India to testify and now they have taken away his passport and are not letting him return to America,” he said.

“I have stuck to my affidavit for 20 years,” said Singh, adding he had lost hope of justice. “Indira Gandhi’s assassins were hanged but those who massacred thousands are today ministers and MPs.”

“If the CBI believes that I am lying,it is free to book me. The government gave me compensation. My medical reports proved that I was injured then. How can one say that Jasbir Singh was not present on November 3?” asked Singh.
