A 27-year-old financier was found hanging in his office at Raj Nagar district center in Ghaziabad on Thursday evening, police said.
“Sandeep Nagar’s office was found locked from outside which at first indicated murder. But a note has been recovered from the premises, where the writer, presumably Nagar, alleged that a man Harinder, had been constantly harassing him for money. The note said this was the reason for him committing suicide,” a police officer said. A case has been registered under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) against Harinder, who is currently absconding, police said.
“Though the note is yet to be sent for a handwriting test and the autopsy report is still awaited, the marks on the body do not indicate antemortem injuries. Most likely, death was due to hanging…,” an officer said.
Police said Nagar didn’t reach home on Wednesday night. On Thursday evening, his brother went looking for him at his office. He broke down the door and discovered Nagar’s body.
