Man beaten to death by guards

A 25-year-old labourer was allegedly beaten to death and his co-worker injured in an assault by Azadpur fruit market security guards who mistook them for thieves on Wednesday night, said police.

Police have arrested one of the guards, Sanju, who allegedly thrashed the two men separately after tying them to chairs.

Police identified the deceased as Sanjay, 25, and his co-worker as Raunak.
