Kolkata’s Jungle Crows beat Pune

Jungle Crows from Kolkata crushed the challenge of Pune girls to win the “Cup” section of the All India Women’s 10s Rugby Tournament at the Hindu College Ground on Monday.

Crows defeated Pune 24-7 in a one-sided affair on the third and final day of the tournament. Bhubaneshwar girls defeated Kerala by Toss of Coin to take home “Plate” section trophy after the game was tied 15-15. The “Bowl” section trophy was won by the Bombay Gymkhana team.

Meanwhile,twenty probables were today named for a national training camp in Pune and amongst them the national team would be selected.

The Scotland team on Sunday left the Capital after the end of their acclimatisation programme before the Commonwealth Games next year.
