Family members of Junaid Akram Malik,wanted for his alleged role in the blast outside Delhi High Court,believe he was killed by Hizbul Mujahideen militants.
Police officers,who admit to reports from Kishtwar town about the killing of Junaid by his own men,said they have not heard of him since last November.
Kishtwar SSP Bhim Sen Tuti said Junaid and his men remain on the wanted list. We cannot say anything on the matter unless we catch him or get his body, he said.
A former militant,Shamsher Kana had gone to Dachan in search of Junaid. He has been missing since December.
Junaids uncle Ashfaq Hussain Malik alleged that Shamsher Kana had been looking for Junaid to get a Rs 10-lakh reward from the NIA. Earlier,there were reports that Junaid and Kana were gunned down by militants who feared Junaid would surrender under family pressure.
