CM Rekha Gupta. (X/@CMO) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday instructed that “complaint boxes” be installed at the offices of all district magistrates, sub-divisional magistrates, and sub-registrars, to allow people to raise grievances.
She was chairing a review meeting with the heads of various departments at Delhi Secretariat to review pending complaints and their resolution through the Public Grievance Management System (PGMS) portal. The PGMS portal is a platform through which departments are informed about public grievances.
In a statement, the government said, “Citizens will be able to submit written complaints in these boxes, which will be directly monitored and evaluated by the Chief Minister’s Office to ensure no grievances are being overlooked. Officials have also been directed to make provisions for receiving complaints through WhatsApp, mobile apps, and toll-free numbers. Departments have been asked to take steps to improve their PGMS portals.”
Gupta said addressing complaints of people is a top priority for her government and directed departments to prepare action taken reports and resolve pending complaints on priority.
