The Delhi Police has transferred Alok Kumar,Deputy Commissioner of Anti-Terror Wing (Special Cell),to Arunachal Pradesh.

Officers transferred
The Delhi Police has transferred Alok Kumar,Deputy Commissioner of Anti-Terror Wing (Special Cell),to Arunachal Pradesh. The post has been left vacant with no one replacing Kumar. Shibesh Singh,Additional DCP at Economic Offences Wing,has been transferred to the Special Cell at the same rank. “Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna has approved the transfers of the officers,” a senior police officer said.

G C Trivedi,who was transferee from Lakshadweep,will be the new DCP (Traffic) for Southern Range in place of Rupinder Kumar,who has been transferred to Central Range.

Suvashish Choudhary,presently DCP (Traffic-Central),has been moved to Ist Battalion of Armed Police as its Additional Deputy Commissioner. Dr A K Singhla,who was looking after the work of Additional DCP (Traffic-Western Region),has been transferee to Traffic (VIP) wing in the same rank.

M N Tiwari,Additional DCP (Ist Battalion),has been transferee to Security Wing in the same rank. Mahesh Bharadwaj,who was transferee from Andaman Nicobar,has been posted as Additional DCP in Eastern Range of Traffic Police. Sharat Kumar,who was looking after the work of Additional DCP (Traffic-Eastern) has been given the new posting at Traffic-Western Range in the same rank.

FIR against politician
The Ghaziabad police have registered a case of assault against an MLA Madan Bhaiya and his security guards in an alleged case of road rage. According to the FIR,the complainant alleged he was assaulted by the three after his motorcycle hit the MLA’s car on Sunday afternoon. According to the police,the complainant,Ehsan,was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state after being beaten up. No arrest has been made so far.

Four held for robberies
Four youths allegedly involved in a number of robberies were arrested from Jahangirpuri,Northwest Delhi,on Sunday. The accused have been identified as Siraj (27),Nizam (28),Farid (22) and Suresh (22). Police said the four worked as ragpickers.

Funds for IP varsity West Campus
The Cabinet on Monday approved an estimate of Rs 186.88 crore for construction of Phase-I of West Campus of the Indraprashta University at Dwarka. Under Phase-I,the West Campus will have administrative block,library,teaching schools,hostels,staff residences,sewage treatment plant and electric sub-station.

Police clear MP’s name in rape case
The Delhi Police have said they have not found any involvement of BJD MP Tadhagat Satpathy in the alleged rape of a domestic help at the servants quarters of his residence. One Prem Kumar Mallick (28) was apprehended two days ago for allegedly raping the 24-year-old help. “We have not found any role of Satpathy in the offence. He was not present in the house when the incident took place,” Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.

Man shot at in Janakpuri
A 25-year-old man was shot at by unidentified men at Janakpuri District Centre in west Delhi Monday afternoon. The victim,Vikram,suffered a bullet injury on his leg while two bullets hit his car,the police said. “Vikram could not see the miscreants. He has been admitted to the Deen Dayal Hospital,” police said. A case has been registered.
