Accusing the BJP of “discriminating against Dalits and underprivileged people”, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said: “BJP MPs are openly talking about changing the Constitution. That’s why BJP is demanding over 400 seats. If BJP comes to power, it will change the Constitution and end reservation for Dalits, tribals, and backward classes.” Every AAP leader will fight until his/ her last breath to save the Constitution of India, Singh said, while asserting that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi has been fulfilling Ambedkar’s dream of education, school, and equality.

Singh said: “…Many governments have worked over 75 years. The Kejriwal government is the first government in Delhi, and Manish Sisodia (former deputy CM and education minister) is the first minister who said that Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution will be taught in government schools… The Constitution gives the power to ensure that there should be no discrimination on the basis of birth, education, health, and job opportunities. If BJP changes the Constitution, they will abolish the reservation.”

Accusing the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of arresting Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in a false case, AAP said: “…Hemant Soren struggled throughout his life to develop Jharkhand, and fought for the rights of Advisasis… but Modi ji put him in jail without any proof… Modi ji insulted the Adivasi community. In this election, Modi ji has to answer for it.”

On developmental work and schemes implemented by the AAP government in Delhi over the years, such as free bus travel, electricity subsidy, and teerth yatra among others, Singh said: “BJP’s shop closed in Punjab too, after Delhi… AAP got 14 per cent votes in Gujarat with a win for five MLAs, and 6.5 per cent votes in Goa with two MLAs… BJP had turned the MCD into a garbage dump for 15 years, then the ‘jhadu’ came out and cleaned it by sweeping the BJP away… BJP got scared seeing Kejriwal working to fulfill Baba Saheb’s dreams on the ground, so they put him in jail in a false case…”

On Sunday, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said: “Another Sunday… another flop show… every political campaign initiated by AAP has been a failure… Sanjay Singh, just released from jail, has not only sidelined Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, but also pushed aside the outspoken minister, Atishi, to advance himself.”

AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai, meanwhile, appealed to the people: “…We will fight and give the answer of jail with votes on May 25. Our fight is on… If the Constitution is saved, this country will be saved.”
