Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station to soon have ‘first-of-its-kind’ co-working space
Aims to 'transform transit spaces into business-friendly hubs', will be equipped with 'modern technology,' says NCRTC.

Video conferencing setups, wireless screen sharing, smart access through biometric entry and digital keycards, QR-based scan-and-use options for feedback, and a dedicated platform for transactions — these are among the highlights of the first-of-its-kind coworking model within the Namo Bharat network. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) will soon launch the coworking space, ‘Metrodesk’, at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, officials said on Saturday.
According to an official statement issued by the NCRTC, the initiative will “transform transit spaces into business-friendly hubs”. “It will be designed to cater to professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in Ghaziabad and nearby areas. The workspace will be located in the station’s concourse area,” it read.
“This co-working space will have 42 open workstations, 11 private cabins, and two meeting rooms, in which about 42 individuals and 11 companies will be able to work at a time. The setup will have features like high-speed internet and plug-and-play workstations, which will ensure seamless productivity and convenience. Being located inside the station, it will reduce the travel time of professionals and enhance their efficiency,” the statement underlined.
Officials also said that the coworking space would be located on the Ghaziabad-Meerut route as the station attracts a large number of commuters, especially due to its proximity to Meerut Tiraha Mor and Shaheed Sthal Naya Bus Adda Station of Delhi Metro.
“This co-working space will be equipped with modern technologies to make the work experience more efficient and productive. Smart access will be ensured through biometric entry and digital keycards, while reservations, membership management, and cashless transactions will be made seamless through a dedicated platform. These workspaces will be available with Internet of Things (IoT) services, which will enable smart lighting, climate control and automated booking of meeting rooms,” according to the official statement.
“Apart from this, video conferencing setups, wireless screen sharing, and technologically advanced discussion areas will also be available. Reliable fiber-optic connectivity will ensure seamless work and virtual meetings. Along with this, there will also be hot desks, vending machines, and QR-based scan-and-use options for feedback collection,” the statement read.
Currently, the NaMo Bharat train is operating from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to the Meerut South station. There are 11 stations on the 55-km stretch. The entire 82-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, including the Meerut Metro, is “progressing rapidly” towards becoming fully operational by 2025, officials had earlier said.
