Sixth seed Rohan Gajjar got the better of qualifier Sudanwa Sitaram in their first-round match of the $10,000 ITF Futures event,beating him 6-4 6-2 to move into the second round at the DLTA complex on Monday. Gajjar,who crashed out in the first round last week.
He will next play the winner of the match between Indian qualifier Srirambalaji Narayanaswamy and South Korean Jae-Won Choi.
Fifth seed Chris Eaton of Britain also had an easy time,giving away just three games as he beat Indian wildcard entrant Vidhan Vyas 6-3,6-0.
In other singles matches,American Shane La Porte rallied to beat Vinod Sridhar 5-7 6-1 6-3 while Indias Vijayant Malik beat compatriot Yannick Nelord 6-3 6-3.
