A fire broke out in an office on the third floor of a building in Noida’s Sector 10, police said Wednesday. However, no one sustained any injuries.
According to police, the blaze broke out around noon. “Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot after we received the information and a team from the local police station (Phase 1) is present there,” said officials.
The Noida Police are yet to ascertain what caused the blaze.
When contacted, Station House Officer of Phase 1, Amit Maan, told The Indian Express that the police received a call about the fire on their 112 emergency number. “The building has a furniture shop on the ground floor and several small offices on the second and third floors. There was no one inside the building when it caught fire,” he said.

He also said that prima facie it appears that a short circuit was the probable cause.
“We are investigating the cause,” said the SHO.
Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Pradeep Kumar, said that a team has been rushed to the spot and it is trying to extinguish the fire.
“It is a three-storey building and housed a furniture shop so the blaze intensified,” he told The Indian Express.
He also said that initially, the police team rushed five tenders and then rushed another five to the spot.
“The initial information that we had was that a few people were trapped inside but it was not the case. There have been no injuries and no one was trapped inside the building,” said the CFO.
