M L Talwar was elected as president of the Indian Express Newspapers Workers’ Union for 2008-09 on Friday. Other office bearers,also elected unopposed,include Arvind Upreti and Nand Kishore Pathak for the post of vice president; C S Naidu as general secretary,Ramesh Negi as secretary,Surender KrSharma as joint secretary; Amarnath Mishra as organising secretary; and Rajendra Goel as treasurer.
