Massive fire at Noida chemical factory, no casualties

The Noida police said the fire broke out at around 3.25 am at Shree Bankey Behari Aromatics.

A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Noida in the early hours of Sunday but no casualties or injuries were reported.

The incident took place around 3.25 am at Shree Bankey Behari Aromatics, said the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Shakti Mohan Avasthy said the Noida police were alerted about the fire at 3.35 am.

“We were informed that a chemical factory in the Badalpur police station area caught fire. The police, fire team and 32 firefighting vehicles were rushed to the spot,” said the DCP.

“All the senior officers have visited the spot, and there have been no deaths in the incident. We are investigating the cause of the fire, and all further legal proceedings are underway,” added Avasthy.
