Training offer
Often in the news for defending high-profile personalities like Suresh Nanda,Ketan Desai and Sansar Chand, senior criminal lawyer Sidharth Luthra found himself in a tight spot recently. The lawyer, appearing before the Delhi High Court for the Delhi Prosecutors Welfare Association in a matter relating to the miserable working conditions of law officers, said the prosecutors lacked appropriate training. Chief Justice Dipak Misra promptly agreed, but also came up with an interesting suggestion. Who could be better than you to train the prosecutors? We would like you to do it, the judge told Luthra,a clear reference to his popularity among the bigshots hiring him to get the better of state law officers. Justice Misra went on to incorporate this in his order, thereby making it mandatory for the lawyer to help train prosecutors who often face him on the other side in the courts.
A picture substitute

The latest addition is Rahul Gandhi, striking a smart pose.
On the wrong track

Packed trouble
The National Courier Terminal at the Indira Gandhi International Airport just got bigger, with the earlier Haj Terminal also becoming a part of it. But the Customs department finds itself in a spot as a new rule says goods upto 100 kg can now arrive by courier ten times the former limit. Customs is not so sure about this they fear it will lead to large-scale smuggling of contraband. An official said the department is now trying to equip itself better by procuring X-Ray machines from the old international terminal T2.
Bunking excuses
