(File)Delhi’s GST collection has seen a 6.54% growth in the first six months of this fiscal year compared to last year, according to data from the government.
Data shows that from April 1 to September, Delhi collected revenue of Rs 21,439.76 crore. Last year in the same period, it collected Rs 20,179.96 crore.
Data also shows that collection was good in April, June and August. In April, the collection even crossed the Rs 4,000-crore mark. September, meanwhile, saw a slight dip.
As compared to last year, revenue from luxury, entertainment, and betting tax has seen a slight increase in comparison to last year. As per data, in the first six months from April 1 to September 30, 2023, revenue from luxury entertainment and betting tax was Rs 0.27 crore. This year in the same period, it was Rs 1.07 crore.
