The Gurgaon Police arrested a couple on Monday for allegedly kidnapping their neighbour’s 10-month-old boy in Dundahera village. Police handed over the boy to his parents and produced the accused in a city court. They have been sent to judicial custody.
Police said the accused have been identified as Abhimanyu and Neetu alias Vandana, hailing from Saharsa in Bihar.
Police said on August 14, the boy’s father Jagdish Kumar filed a complaint that his son, Aryan alias Kanha, had been missing since the night of August 13. He told police that their neighbours were missing as well.

Based on his complaint, police booked the duo under sections 365 (kidnap) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC and launched a search to nab them.
Several police teams were constituted and the cyber crime cell was roped in as well. Police soon traced the couple to Nihal colony area.
During questioning, the duo confessed to the crime. They said they kidnapped they child as they did not have any children despite being married for seven years.
“Once they kidnapped the child, they immediately shifted to another house. While Abhimanyu works with a private company, Neetu is a homemaker,” said investigating officer Sube Singh.
