The countdown to 2012 has already begun. Here is a guide to party all night on this New Year’s Eve.

With only a day left before we ring out the old and ring in the new,the party venues in the Capital are buzzing and set to have you dance the night away. With a wide range of DJs and clubs,Delhites are spoiled for choice on the last day of the year.

Blue Frog,Delhi’s latest nightlife import,will have Adil and Vasundhara Retro Set kicking the night off with their numbers loaded with jazz,blues and bossa-nova beats. Don’t forget your dancing shoes though because the tunes of UK-based DJ Jakki Degg will later take over the night. You will have to loosen your purse strings by Rs 10,000 to party here.

Dancing is not the only way to shed off the excess holiday weight this season though,as BluO in Gurgaon has an interesting night planned with drinks,music and bowling games.

While Blanco in Khan Market has a party themed,Glow,with masks and glowing paraphernalia provided by them,Olive at Qutub plans a free-spirited night with the theme “Club Burlesque”. If you are an exhibitionist with a passion for feathers then you can party “like it’s 1929”. The club promises an evening of indulgence,with burlesque décor,DJs,pole dancers and a spread of food and alcohol. “We thought that burlesque as a theme was exciting and different. We’re already sold out,” said Ramola Bachchan,Director Operations,Olive. A couple will have to shell out Rs 10,000 for these two parties.

Try walking down a dark passage at The Park Hotel’s club,Aqua. The darkness will vanish at the end of this tunnel as a burst of light and fog welcomes you. Before you know it,your expression — be it shock,fear,surprise or delight — is caught by a camera’s click and a flash.

At the end of the night,you get to take the moment home,captured in time,in a photo frame. With the bubbly flowing freely,a host of DJs mashing up Hip Hop,R&B,Bollywood numbers to burn up the dance floor,Aqua promises an interesting party this year-end. Pay up Rs 12,000 and you are in.

As for Shiro,the club in Hotel Samrat,it starts the celebrations a day ahead. The organisers will fly in Swiss DJ Yves Larock on Friday night,followed by DJ Aaron James the next day. “I am excited to rock New Year’s eve at Shiro. The idea is to play fun,bouncy,party tracks which have some emotional or nostalgic connection to the passing year,” said James. The party continues through the night with guests waking up to a lavish Sunday breakfast and unlimited cocktails the next morning.

For those in the mood for an extravagant start to their new year,there is a special table at F Bar and Lounge. Dinner and premium alcohol are priced at Rs 1 lakh for four people.

At Delhi’s other big hotel,The Lalit,the owners of Kitty Su continue their trend of bringing in Parisian DJs,but this time,the show gets more special with a spectacular dance performance by the well-known group La Femme Fatale.
