The body of a Delhi Police head constable, who had been missing from his home since Thursday, was recovered from the Bawana canal in Outer Delhi on Friday.
The constable, identified as Sunil Kumar (32),had joined the force around eight years ago and was posted as the reader to ACP,Vigilance,in police headquarters. Officials said his body was found floating in the canal around 11 am and bore strangulation marks on the neck.
Kumar was last seen on Thursday leaving his home in Prahladpur for his office. It is unlikely that he was killed in a robbery attempt because his wallet was found in his pocket. We suspect it to be a case of personal enmity, a police officer said.
