CM’s ‘message from Manish uncle to students: Take care of your studies, health’
Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy CM, was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in a case related to alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped liquor policy.

Inaugurating a School of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) in Delhi’s Rohini Sunday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said former Education Minister Manish Sisodia has sent a message to the city’s students.
“Manish uncle has sent a message to you — he is fine, he wants you to take care of your studies and health… God keeps testing those who fight for the truth, Manish Sisodia will come out with full marks out of this fight,” he said.

Sisodia, the former Deputy CM, was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in a case related to alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped liquor policy. He resigned from the Cabinet a couple of days later.
Kejriwal was accompanied by newly appointed Education Minister Atishi. Addressing students, parents and teachers, he said, “This school is going to be one of the best in the country. The facilities and infrastructure available in our Schools of Specialised Excellence are better than the biggest private schools of Delhi.”
He also said while entering the school, he faced protests from some people at the gate. “People have the right to protest, but why do it in front of a school?… the school will be open to all children and their parents could be from any political background.” He also told the principal and teachers to welcome children of the protesters with flowers if they get admission.

Atishi said, “I went to a very big private school in Delhi… but when I took a look at the new SoSEs, I believe they are far better… We are proud that in the last eight years, our government has worked to provide opportunities for a better future for children in Delhi.”
The SoSE, located in Rohini Sector 18, will offer two specialisations — STEM and High-End 21st Century Skills – from the 2023-24 academic session. A total of 400 students would be enrolled in the two courses. The school is built on a 8,631 square metre plot and has 50 classrooms, 10 labs, two libraries, a multi-purpose hall, 15 staff rooms, 30 toilets, and a lift.
Results of the first round of admission will be declared by next week and final admissions will start from April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar.
“Now, there are 37 SoSEs in Delhi; 92,000 applications have been received for admission to 4,400 seats for the next academic session,” Kejriwal further said.
