NEW DELHI: Four men were arrested on Sunday for their involvement in a robbery that took place in Narela. Police said they recovered a stolen motorcycle with a fake registration plate. According to police,the gang of dacoits had on July 27 robbed a factory guard and his brother in Narela. Apart from Rs 2,500 in cash,they also took away two mobile phones and a motorcycle, said B S Jaiswal,Deputy Commissioner of Police(Outer). The accused have been identified as Ravi (22),Rahul (22),Rajnish (23) and Salim (24).
Carpenter arrested for supplying illegal arms
NEW DELHI: A carpenter has been arrested for allegedly supplying illegal arms to criminals. Six country-made pistols have been recovered by police. Acting on a tip-off,police arrested Mohammad Harun from Rohinis Sector-12 last week. Police said Harun took to crime as he was not earning enough from his job as a carpenter. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) B S Jaiswal said: After purchasing raw materials from different persons in Kairana,Harun used to manufacture illegal arms on his own and sell them for Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500.
