Three arrested for killing 22-year-old
New Delhi: Three persons were arrested on Saturday for the murder of a 22-year-old man earlier this month. Police recovered two mobiles phones and a Maruti SX4 car from the possession of the accused and is looking two more suspects in the case. The arrested persons have been identified as Vedprakash (52),Sandeep (40) and Surender alias Neetu (27). They had allegedly shot dead Arun Kumar on September 5. According to police,Kumar was killed as his cousin was a witness in a case against the son of one of the accused Vedprakash.
Car catches fire,no one injured
New Delhi: A Hyundai Santro car caught fire in Connaught Place area on Sunday evening. No one was injured in the incident,police said. Raj Kumar (25) was driving towards his home in Singhara Chowk,Central Delhi,when he noticed smoke coming from his car at 8.45 pm. The fire was caused by a short-circuit and it was detected well in time. Kumar informed police and the fire department. Nobody was injured, a police officer said.
