IT seems that Farah Khan prefers Salman to her good friend Shah Rukh Khan. We’re not talking about beefcake Salman Khan here, but about the Dance India Dance contestant Salman. Farah, who had come on the sets of the show to pay a surprise visit to her assistant of 15 years,Geeta Kapoor, was totally captivated by Salman’s performance. She just could not stop praising his skill and grace. To top it,performing stunts despite having a battered body only increased Farah’s admiration for the contestant. She talked about how painstakingly she had taught Shah Rukh the steps of the famous qawwali number from Main Hoon Na. “If Shah Rukh had attempted the steps that Salman did today,I’m sure he would have never recovered from his back injury.” She went on to make Salman’s day by telling him that he will go a long way. That’s quite some praise, coming from the country’s most well-known dance choreographer.

All our children
HOI polloi like us can never know how Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt manage their growing brood. But we can know how commoner people like us manage many children, courtesy Discovery Travel and Living’s new reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8. The show has real-life couple Kate and Jon Gosselin handle their large family — twins Cara and Madelyn and sextuplets Alexis,Aaden,Collin,Leah,Hannah and Joel —and give advice on bringing up eight kids. The show promises quite a lot of excitement,as even a humdrum activity like a trip to the zoo turns into an adventure sport, with two adults managing eight excitable children. This should be a revelation for all who think that raising children is cakewalk.

Breakthrough role
SUPRIYA Kumari who plays the bubbly Shanichari on Zee TV’s Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo might have met with a devastating fate in the show but her acting career promises her a great future ahead. It seems that Anil Kapoor’s production house was wowed by her talent and has offered her a lucrative role in forthcoming movies. An elated Supriya says,“I’m in seventh heaven and have kept my fingers crossed. It’s a huge thing for me to have been called for a meeting by such great people from the industry. The movie is in its very primitive stage and even the script is yet to be finalised.” Now that’s how you go from being a small-screen actor to a big screen star.
