(Representational image/File) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case in connection with the alleged leak of question papers of a nursing officer recruitment examination conducted by AIIMS Delhi on June 3.
The Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-4) was conducted for the appointment of nursing officers to all the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and four other Delhi hospitals.
CBI registered the FIR on June 9 against the Mohali-based Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology and one Ritu in connection with the alleged leak.
Officials at AIIMS said a letter arrived from CBI and the agency has contacted the institute to access data which will be shared with it by the Dean Examination Dr VL Kumar. “There is a volume of data which has to be shared including the CCTV footage of 300 plus exam centres,” said an official.
In a complaint, Dr Naval K Vikram, Associate Dean (Exam) AIIMS, said, “The Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi, had conducted the NORCET-4 Recruitment Examination held on June 3 for all AIIMS, including AIIMS, New Delhi, four Central government hospitals in Delhi and NITRD across the country. In the late evening of June 5, some tweets came to notice which claimed leakage of the question paper of NORCET-4, which was held on June 3 in the morning shift.”
“Screenshots of a candidate console appearing were getting viral on social media, and all received screenshots have been checked. Based on screenshots analysis, the candidate console refers to a candidate identified as Ritu, which had applied online application form for NORCET-4 Recruitment Examination. On behalf of the competent authority of AIIMS, I request you to make an investigation into this matter,” the complainant said.
