Seven students of T T Public School in Sector 28,Faridabad,had a miraculous escape after the bus carrying them turned turtle on Surajkund Road on Friday. The police said the driver lost control after a component of the steering wheel broke. The bus rammed into a median before overturning. No one was injured.

Auto-lifter arrested
New Delhi: An auto-lifter was nabbed by the residents of Lajpat Nagar while allegedly trying to escape with a stolen car. Police officials said two local residents,Jaspreet Singh Sethi and Praveen Ahuja,were going towards their houses when they saw the accused,Neeraj, trying to flee with a car. They caught him and handed him to the local police patrolling the area. A case was registered.

Power in Gurgaon
Gurgaon: The power utilities in Gurgaon have decided to take up maintenance of their sub-stations and lines as a preventive measure ahead of summers. The maintenance work is likely to be completed by the end of April and there will be no cuts due to local reasons,Superintending Engineer Balwant Singh Chauhan said.

Meru Cabs back
New Delhi: A day after drivers of Meru Cabs went on strike demanding a reduction in the subscription fee,the operator maintained that most Meru cabs were back on the roads on Friday. The situation is now under control,an official statement said. “We urge our subscribers (drivers) to get back to delivering efficient services,’ the statement said.
