(Representational Image) A 12-year-old boy died Thursday allegedly after he fell from the balcony of his home situated on the 18th floor of a high-rise in Greater Noida west, said officials on Friday.
They said that the incident took place at the ACE Divino group housing society in Aimnabad village of Bisrakh police station area. The deceased has been identified as Virat, who was studying in Class 7.
“A12-year-old fell from the 18th floor balcony of his flat in tower 9…The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The body has been sent for postmortem. Further legal action is being taken,” said the police in a statement.
Officials said the boy was originally from MP. “He was an only child… His father works at an IT company in Noida. His parents were not at home during the incident,” said an official, adding since police have not received any complaint in the matter, no case has been registered yet.
