Barapullah Nallah corridor inaugurated

After being engulfed in controversy for several months now,the much-delayed Barapullah Nallah elevated corridor between Sarai Kale Khan and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was inaugurated on Friday. However,the PWD-constructed structure will only be accessible to Games-related traffic for the time being.

The elevated corridor will reduce the travel time between Sarai Kalae Khan and JLN Stadium from 45 to five minutes. Proposed to be extended till INA and Mayur Vihar,it will be thrown open for general traffic after the Games.

Delhi PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan,Transport Minister Arvinder Singh,Principal Secretary (PWD) K K Sharma and Transport Commissioner R K Verma were present at the event.
