AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday accused the BJP of hatching a conspiracy to get Chief Minister Atishi arrested in a false case to distract the party from its campaign for the Delhi Assembly polls.
Addressing mediapersons, Kejriwal, flanked by Atishi, said, “A few days ago, we received information from our sources that a meeting was held between the ED, CBI, and Income Tax departments… and orders were given from higher-ups to somehow fabricate a false case and arrest Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi.”
He alleged that central investigating agencies are planning to frame Atishi in a matter related to the Transport Department. “We also got to know through sources that a fake case is being prepared against CM Atishi by the Transport Department. Their sole focus is to shut down free travel for women in Delhi.”
He further alleged that investigation agencies have been directed to conduct raids on all senior AAP leaders. “Raids will be conducted on me, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Satyendar Jain, and Atishi. Their goal is to distract us from our election preparations and campaigning and to entangle us in other matters,” Kejriwal said.
He also accused the BJP of “conspiring for the last 10 years to make the lives of people of Delhi miserable”. “…The BJP does not have any CM face, agenda or work to show what it has done in the last 10 years,” he added.
Atishi, meanwhile, said, “We have reliable information that a false case is being prepared in the Transport Department to target the free bus travel scheme for women in Delhi. They are attempting to frame me in this fabricated case to halt this scheme.”
“… Even if they arrest me, I trust the judiciary and the Constitution. Despite the false cases, I am certain (I) will receive bail soon, as truth always triumphs in the end,” she added.

Hitting back, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said, “After being defeated and caught in a web of lies, Kejriwal is spreading confusion, claiming that CM Atishi is being framed and arrested, which is nothing but a fabricated story. The truth is she is standing in the dock today because of the fake schemes and false announcements of her superior.”
