“I tolerated the high volume for almost an hour, but after midnight,it became a nuisance,” said Singh. First,he sent his guards to request the residents to turn down the volume. “When that did not have any effect,I went myself.”

Most of the partying residents were engineers in the Ghaziabad Development Authority, said Singh. And in response to his request, they began threatening him.

Singh then asked the residents to show the official permission to play loud music after midnight.

“They showed him the permission, but the allowance on it was only till 11 pm,” said Rajesh Diwedi,Station House Officer,Indirapuram. “Some of the residents then roughed him up. We have arrested four of them and one is yet to be arrested.”
