(File Photo)To address the corruption charges levelled against him in the excise policy case, Arvind Kejriwal, who recently stepped down as the Delhi chief minister, will address a ‘Janta ki Adalat’ (people’s court) at 11 am in Jantar Mantar Sunday, the party said Friday.
The announcement came days after Kejriwal’s release on bail in the Delhi excise policy case.
Jantar Mantar is the same venue where his political journey began more than a decade ago.
It was at Jantar Mantar in 2011 that Kejriwal, then an RTI activist, alongside veteran social reformer Anna Hazare, had launched a nation-wide anti-corruption movement demanding the creation of a Jan Lokpal to curb corruption. The agitation had received massive public support from across the country and had played a significant role in laying the foundation for AAP’s emergence.
