NEW DELHI: A 63-year-old Australian citizen,who was on a business trip to India,was found dead at a hotel in Noida on Saturday afternoon. Police sources say it doesn’t seem like a case of either suicide or murder,but a natural death. Michael Tak,who landed in India on August 25,was last seen by the staff at Sector 20’s Hotel Mosaic at about 9.30 pm on Friday,when he returned after dinner,a senior police official said. “The Australian Embassy has been informed and asked if they want a postmortem done in India or Australia,” SSP Jyoti Narayan (Gautam Budh Nagar) said.

Police constable shoots self

NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police constable attempted suicide,by shooting himself at the roof top of the police station on Saturday he was posted at in East Delhi,police said. The police are yet to establish the reason behind the attempt,since the two suicide notes recovered from his possession are unclear. Dinesh Chand Meena was rushed to the Max Hospital in Patparganj where doctors have stated his condition to be stable,though unfit for a statement

Prostitution racket busted

Gurgaon: The Cyber Crime Cell in Gurgaon claimed to have busted a prostitution racket and arrested two women and two touts from Sector 50 area,on Saturday. The accused were arrested after a complaint was filed by a BPO employee,whose Facebook profile photo was posted on an escort service site. The accused touts have been identified as Manoj Kumar and Amar Singh. The vehicle being used by them was impounded,police said.

Fresh proposal for MCD trifurcation

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has sent a fresh proposal to the Home Ministry,after making certain changes in its earlier proposal for trifurcation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) ahead of next year’s municipal polls. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday said a fresh proposal was sent to the Ministry for approval by Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna on Friday.
