Robbery at petrol pump
Three unidentified armed men who were traveling in a car robbed a petrol pump and decamped with Rs 40,000 in Northwest Delhi early on Tuesday morning,the police said. The incident was reported from Sidhu Petrol Pump on GT Road in Mahendra Park around 4 am. “The incident was recorded by the CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump,” an official said. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Contempt petition dismissed
The Delhi High Court dismissed a contempt petition against the Delhi Police Commissioner after the police assured the court that they would ensure that those offering namaaz at a South Delhi mosque would not cause traffic problems. The Aravali Residents’ Welfare Association in Alaknanda area had filed a petition alleging the police had failed to comply with the High Court’s January 19,2009,order to deploy police personnel to avoid inconvenience to general public every Friday due to devotees spilling on to the main road during prayers.

HC seeks response on admission
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought a response from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for denying a seven-year-old child admission in Class I in on the alleged ground of overage. The court sought a reply by May 6 on a petition filed by Aman Kumar Chaudhary.

Provide treatment,hospital told
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed the Safdarjung Hospital to provide maintenance hemodialysis treatment to a man whose both the kidneys were damaged and he could not afford the treatment. The order came after taxi driver Dinesh Gupta alleged that the AIIMS denied him maintenance hemodialysis as part of his ongoing treatment and he could not afford the same at a private hospital.
