Metro to Manesar on the cards
The Haryana government proposes to extend the Metro to Manesar and also provide a high-speed link to the Indira Gandhi International Airport,state Finance Minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav announced in his budget speech on Wednesday. The minister said the 7.05-km Gurgaon-Delhi Metro link is near completion. The Delhi Metro will also be extended to Faridabad through a 13.87-km link. The project to link Bahadurgarh with Mundka border is also under process,he added.

Man held for colleague’s murder
New Delhi: The Noida police on Wednesday arrested a call centre employee on charges of murdering his colleague. Police officials said the victim,23-year-old Pooja Bhatia,went missing on March 1. Though her mother filed a complaint on March 3,police said Bhatia’s body had been recovered by the Faridabad police from Bhatkal Lake in Surajkund on March 2. Bhatia’s postmortem revealed she died due to drowning. “The Noida police,after checking the victim’s phone records,found she was in constant touch with one Baljeet Singh; they were colleagues at Sparsh Intelnet in Sector-4,Noida. He was interrogated and later arrested,” a senior police officer said. A case has been registered and further interrogation is on.
