BBA student held for murder
The Ghaziabad police have arrested a BBA student,Vineet Jain,on charges of murdering a 40-year-old sales manager of HDFC Bank. According to the police,the arrest has been made based on circumstantial evidence. Deepak Tevatia,employed with the Raj Nagar branch of HDFC,was found dead near Birla Sunlife Insurance building,around one kilometre from his office,on January 15 this year. A case has been registered against Jain at the Kavi Nagar police station.

Home ministry official goes missing
A Home ministry official went missing on Wednesday afternoon after he left home to withdraw money from an ATM in West Delhi. K V Singh,who works as an under secretary with the relief and rehabilitation section of the ministry,left his Vikaspuri residence around noon,the police said. Singh,who is slated to retire on March 31,was to leave for Kerala later in the day for a holiday with his family. A complaint has been lodged with the Vikaspuri police station.
